Condition: All of our boards are very old and each piece shows natural imperfections as knife marks, stains, or cracks, enhancing its character.
The antique chopping board is fixed with metal fittings and patches, adding both character and stability.
Care: after receiving the boards we clean them from dust and nourish the wood with chopping essential oil, which is non-toxic and food safe.
We recommend cleaning the boards with lemon and salt, avoiding soaking, and using baking paper for serving.
For added protection and treatment, apply a food-grade butcher block conditioner or chopping board wax.
